[sticky post] Pinned: So You Want to be Damned-A Guide to 'Damnatio Memoriae'

Jul. 17th, 2015 | 12:12 pm

'Damnatio Memoriae' is an interlinked series of fan fiction stories set in the Doctor Who universe. It is an alternative universe series, with certain changes effected by time travel. It includes multiple stories of various lengths and relevancies to the overall story arc, so I thought I would create a little Q&A guide for those interested in starting in.

I'd just like to thank the people of the subReddit r/Rational for mentioning my new Matrix/Culture crossover fanfic, 'Charon'! I appreciate the praise and love the advice!

Back from the Dead

Hello! I'm afraid that I was knocked entirely out of commission by a bad infection*, and haven't worked on any of my Who fiction since March (!).
But I think I am out of the woods now, and look forward to getting back to on the ball.
Thanks for waiting!

* A Webcomic infection, of all thing; I knew I should stay away from them, but I thought one peek wouldn't hurt, and then - BAM! Gave me an impacted 55K fanfic that I had to spend months cutting out and cleaning up.

Apparently the Australian Classification Board is reserving the right to refuse classification (and therefore censor) films and images that might be interpreted as showing underage performers, based on subjective facts such as breast size.

Let us hope they do not ever expand their field to cover fan fiction! Because Esselle is at best an A-cup, though she carries an awful lot of muscle mass to be mistaken for prepubescent. And Avva is probably an A or a B-cup, depending on whether or not you want to count the, er, purple ridged spirals. (Which is why if she wears a bra, it's quite padded - not to stick out, but to protect her sensitive ridges.)

Saying "This always worked for the Boston Strangler" will not endear you to most people.

Re-Reading 'The Godfather,' God knows why...

...was there always this much UST between Dr. Jules and Johnny Fontane? They seem ready to just rip each other's clothes off and have a knock-down drag-out hump battle.

My Secret Identity

Dec. 24th, 2009 | 07:52 pm

I take this holiday season as the occasion to give you a present: my secret smut-writing identity.

Under the name Dame Syrup (an anagram of Mary Pseud) I have been filling naughty prompts at the LiveJournal communities Look At The Size Of That Thing! The Doctor Who Kink Meme and TouchYerWood: The Torchwood Kink Meme.

I thank all my new readers for your many kind words of praise and encouragement, and for giving me a multitude of wonderful prompts and the chance to try out different writing styles.

If you would like to see my stories for these communities, they are collected on the Teaspoon at this link.

Out of personal preference I do not intend to officially claim any RPF stories that I have done; however it should be obvious to anyone familiar with my style that one involves a sheep.

Rassilon bless us, every one!
